HISTORY
The churches of Christ salute you. This is the greeting the apostle Paul gave to his brethren in Romans 16:16. It reflects the simple spirit of the New Testament church and the fellowship shared among Christians.
We are a non-denominational church of Christ. Our desire is not to follow human creeds, traditions, or denominational names, but to let the Bible speak where the Bible speaks and to remain silent where the Bible is silent. We simply seek to be Christians only, following the pattern of the New Testament.
In worship and practice, we strive to hold to the simplicity of the early church, including the observance of the Lord’s Supper with one bread and one cup, as taught in Scripture. Our aim is not to be different for the sake of being different, but to honor the teaching of Christ and His apostles.
Our history is rooted in; faith, worship, and doctrine revealed in the word of God. We believe that the church belongs to Christ, that His word is sufficient, and that unity can be found when believers submit fully to the authority of Scripture.
VALUES
Biblical Authority
We believe the Bible is the inspired word of God and our only rule of faith and practice. We desire to let the Bible speak in all matters of doctrine, worship, and daily living.
Christ-Centered Living
We seek to honor Jesus Christ as the head of the church and the foundation of our faith. Our aim is to follow His example in humility, truth, love, and obedience.
Simplicity in Worship
We value the simple worship revealed in the New Testament. We strive to worship God in spirit and in truth, without adding the traditions and inventions of men.
Unity in Truth
We believe true unity is found in following the teaching of Christ and His apostles. Our desire is to be Christians only and to stand together upon the word of God.
Love and Fellowship
We are committed to caring for one another as brethren in the Lord. We value kindness, encouragement, hospitality, and genuine Christian fellowship.
Faithful Obedience
We believe faith must be lived out through reverence, submission, and obedience to God’s will. Our desire is not only to hear the word, but to do it.
